It can be hard to judge how much to say in an interview. You want to completely answer the interviewer’s questions, but it’s never good to ramble on. It’s a balance between not fully explaining yourself, and giving too much information. A good way to avoid this is to speak in bullet points. Think of the major points you would like to convey, and highlight each one. You can always ask your interviewer if they need more of an explanation. The way to best illustrate your strengths is to give examples that “paint a picture” so they can visualize you doing the job you are interviewing for.
This tip works best when you can script your answers ahead of time. There are certain questions that you can expect in most interviews, such as “tell me about yourself”. Think about your answers ahead of time and practice your responses until you feel comfortable.
